Mrs. Seema Sahay, Principal, G.D. Goenka Public School, Sarita Vihar is a distinguished educator and administrator with a career in education spanning over 25 years.

Having done her schooling from St. Xaviers School, Bokaro Steel City, Ms. Sahay did her graduation in History Honours from Lady Sri Ram College and received her Masters degree in Ancient Indian History from University of Delhi.

She has been the Principal of Ryan group of schools in Delhi and NCR and also headed Gurukul – The School in Gaziabad. She has also worked as Manager, School Management Services in Universal Learn Today Ltd., the Learning Division of the India Today Group, promoters of the Vasant Valley School, New Delhi.

She has been awarded the 26th “Dr. Radhakrishnan Smriti Rashtriya Shikshak Samman”, in 2010 for her contribution to the field of Education and “ Anaamika Saraswati Samman” award in 2003 for her contribution in bringing education to rural areas. She has also been the proud recipient of REX Karamveer Global Education Change Champions fellow awardee in 2019.

In her tenure as Principal she has led several International students’ delegations; a space school programme to NASA in Houston, USA, a summer leadership and adventure camp to Vancouver, Canada and an International Students Youth Summit to Mauritius. She led a team of students in June 2019 to Beijing China, for the World Scholars Cup, a team academic literary global competition.

She has been a part of the Mentoring and Monitoring team of CBSE and also been an Observer for the CTET exam conducted by CBSE.

With a varied range of experience and expertise in Education, Ms. Sahay has conducted workshops for Teacher Development and School administration on different forums. She has participated in panel discussions and been part of the expert panel for the program on education on Doordarshan.

Ms. Sahay is very passionate about bringing a meaningful difference to the Educational landscape in her area and also helps in sensitizing her students to the needs of marginalized sections of the community at large through the outreach programs of the school.
